About Keane Gruending
I’m an experienced communications professional with a background in climate, energy, and transportation
This experience includes strategic communications, digital communications, social media, government and press relations, integrated marketing, event management, and engagement.
My op-eds, guest articles, and photography have appeared in outlets such as the Vancouver Sun, Spacing Magazine, The Guardian, and beyond.
Over the course of my career, I have convened multiple events, workshops, and conferences, supporting/informing strategies, policies, and programs for governmental, academic, and foundation partners.
Currently, I’m a civil servant working on regional transportation in Metro Vancouver.
Previous stops include the SFU Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, the Victoria Car Share (now Modo), the UN Environment Programme’s Regional Office for North America.
My interests include active transportation, shared mobility, transit, climate and energy policy, technology, economics, and politics.
