About Keane Gruending
I’m a communications professional with a background in urban sustainability, engagement, and policy.
Based at the SFU Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue in Vancouver, British Columbia, I work on the international Renewable Cities program and have contributed to several other local to international projects and programs.
Through my work, I am striving to enable a renewable energy-powered future. This includes through communications strategy and integrated marketing, branding, digital and social media, press and government relations, content development, advertising, vendor management, design, email and CRM, and analytics.
My op-eds, guest articles, and photography have appeared in outlets such as the Vancouver Sun, Spacing Magazine, and The Guardian.
At the Centre, I regularly support events, including by convening engaging public consultations, solutions-focused workshops, panels, and conferences.
Previous stops include the Victoria Car Share Co-operative (now Modo), the UN Environment Program’s Regional Office for North America, and the University of Saskatchewan’s Office of Sustainability.
Interests include sustainable transportation, climate policy, international affairs, technology, politics, and entrepreneurship.
Outside of work, I can be found traveling, on my bike, or enjoying the nature of British Columbia.
